| I've moved to www.LilKev-xtremez.blogspot.com ......the title explains it all.... | | |
| Alright.....back in KL already and i'm not enjoying myself.....the Air quality here is lousy comparing to Camerons...though it's not that good up there...it's anytime better than down here. Well, prior to the trip....It was Word On The Street....It was a blast...however i was too busy to post a weblog about it....sorry about that....but there are many other people who wrote about it....so i guess just short of one post wouldn't change the world right??
Anyway, back about the camp...i won't expand on who's in the LimClan....mainly consisting of my family members on my Mom's side of the family. Not everybody was present ..but it was still fun enough with the people who managed to come. It's the 1st time i've heard a family trip had a brouche for the camp....that's certainly a 1st...Prior to the trip..i wasn't too keen on going cause with all the post-Christmas things and feeling fatigue and all...i just wasn't in the mood for it. Well, most people know about my craziness about driving so i asked my parents whether i could drive up to Camerons....i was just settling for driving up and around. They agreed...so i packed my bags and headed for camerons....It's the 1st time in as many months that i'm driving that far out as in outstation ...so it's a total different ball game...On the highway, i stuck to the speed limit most of the time apart from a few overtaking manourves where i reached a new high speed record of 160km/h....other than that i was forced to stick to a crawling 110km/h cause there were about 20 cars flashing on the other side....a sign that there's a speed trap ahead...somemore Aunty Janice called my mom to alert us about it. The only drama we had was at the toll...when our smart-tag...which hasn't been updated....couldn't be tracked....leaving me parking the car in between the 2 tolls to collect a ticket. Driving up camerons was amazing...though the new roads aren't as twisty i think it was a challange to relish anyway...and i enjoyed the drive up.
We were the last to reach there....we met up with the rest in Tanah Rata town for lunch before heading off to the apartments which is about a 5-10 mins walk. We had two apartments side-by-side...we transferred the furnitures around so one apartment will become the dining and the other the living room. There was a brief game for introduction to kick start everything. We also played board games after that....and we had dinner later...Most of the time we had home-cooked food except for once we had Steamboat ...together with Fried Mushrooms...which are the most if not one of the most addictive food on planet earth....those crispy dried fried Mushrooms are simply to die for... During the Night time we usually have a short time of family bonding....where we give our thoughts and opinions about different things and so on....feed-back as most people will call it. After that, some would go to bed...meanwhile some would be talking late through the night...
There was this morning, My cousin Wai Sum suggested that we all go to watch the sun-rise....So there were a few of us...Consisting of Tai Kau Foo , Sue Yee , Jonathan , Mum , Dad , Wai Sum and myself...we went in 2 cars...now we left about 445 in the morning...and we were driving up to some place where we would look from a tower...this place coincidentally was the same place...i came to with Uncle Victor San and family...Difference was then i was in a 4WD pajero climbing through the road roads,.....not a problem. This time i was driving my Dad's car which isn't exactly made for mountain climbing...It was bloody dark and can barely see anything....The only thing i could see was Tai Kau Foo's merc rear lights....It was that dark..but however luckily i made it up there. We met a German fella up there too...He said he's been there 3 times and on all occasions he missed the sun-rise....sad case. But this time He got to see it...and so did we...though it was slightly short of our expectation...I did snap a handful of photos which i will post up soon enough..It was really cold up there and everybody felt it except my Dad who could still afford to walk around in just T-shirt and trackbottoms.....i still wonder how he did that..simply Amazing.!!
After that sunrise outing, most of us came back to catch up with some sleep...It was tiring that's for sure....Then we watched a show about or more like a documentary about This fella from Ghana entitled Emmanuel's gift..pretty inspiring in my opinion....Those sort of will Power can only come from God and no other place....Uncle Eddie joined us for a day and Tai Yee followed him back to KL on that very evening...I had thoughts about leaving back for KL for various reasons...but thankfully i did not...
There was a surprise installed for us...that was a Treasure hunt...though my team which consisted of Dad , Benji and Myself didn't win...It was interesting....Though our team name was called Win Win...it didn't turn out as how we came up with the name. On a personal note , there was more surprises that day....Stephanie told me that she and her family were coming up to Camerons too....but i never expect to see her in the same town. 1st , i saw their car being parked opposite maybank and i gave her a ring....soon later...I saw her opposite on the row of shop houses...Later that day , i offered to help Tai Kau Foo take his Merc to pump air into what looked to me like deflated tires....He actually allowed me to take the car on my own....i did as permitted but did not managed to get anything done...because the nearest Petrol station was in another town...and i can't afford taking risk on a car that doesn't belong to me...
Last day, we took photos of the whole group and we had to leave slight earlier to come back to get Cheryl's PMR results ...and i'm very proud of her on her achievement...no matter what people will say and think about her results...On the way back, just to complete the trip with a little more surprise....a car turned in front of me and it was Stephanie's car....Camerons maybe a small place to certain people..but to meet at the same time....rather coincedental in my opinion....We stopped by the market for alittle while.....and i saw a guy that looked like a church member as well....
The Drive down was pleasant too...though i need to work on my braking and overtaking alittle more...other than that it was fine. I drove down all the way back to KL as well....thank God there were no speed trap this time around...i din go flying at 160km/h again....and we had another Toll incident...this time we couldn't find the ticket....so i pulled to the side as we searched for the ticket...Actually my dad folded the ticket till it looked like "ham choi" and the fella at the toll booth asked me " you tadi ambil ticket makan ke" ....It was so funny we really really had a good laugh....So back to KL , collected Cheryl's results , Send Sue Yee back home , Went to a used car shop....
Later the night , i went out with the guys to Tbun just to wrap up the day...
Signing off ,

| Alright...it's Christmas Day....It supposed to be the happiest time of the year....Cause it's when everything and everyone around seems all good and happy....Well, more than that...Christmas is about God putting himself into a mould of a man....and coming down to planet earth to save us all. Back about Christmas ....yeah it's supposed to be a happy occasion....but i really don't seem to feel it all that much this time around....and this has really got me wondering....Frankly, i'll tell you....that i still don't know what's the cause to this mixed emotions filled Christmas. Maybe it was due to what Pastor Ong said....that i still can't really recall...but i remembered that it nearly brought me to tears while was on Choir duty....All the hype about food , presents , the FAT-Man called Santa...whatever you can think of....doesn't seem to bring that same hype as it used to....or maybe it's just me
Well...perhaps the build up to Christmas day as been affected by alot of happenings around i guess....and i constantly let my emotions get the better of me...anyway. Christmas is never completed without O HOLY NIGHT...in my opinion it's the hardest song to sing....but it's the one that brings the strongest feel ..probably the next closest thing you'll feel about Christmas...
O Holy Night
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when Christ was born; O night, O holy night, O night divine! O night, O holy night, O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand. O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming, Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born to be our friends. He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger, Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, With all our hearts we praise His holy name. Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we, His power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim! well, Merry Christmas my fellow readers

| Alright....the past few days ...have been head banging for alot of people....including myself.....Where do i start?? mmm....thinking...ahhh yes...ISCA camp...As always ISCA camp has been fun...and it certainly live up to expectation....It was kinda different comparing to the past ISCA camp....as this was in the NS camp...and apart from the place being very muddy and sandy ...i would give the rest a thumbs up.....There were a couple of very fun activities....like Flying Fox ( nicer....if it was longer....faster...and more sloping) , Jungle Trekking was fun....but ruin abit by certain people...(some people will know who i'm referring to) and Kayak...( so what if Jireh beat me in Kayak ...big deal.!!!) ...The Services went well....or at least i think it went according to plan...the last session i lead went well in my opinion....seeing God touching people at their point of need.....was amazing...YES it was....I also managed to make some new friends...they have been great people....I did not get to participate in the group activities because was helping the Tech team to set up.... about our speaker evangelist Carl Butler.....amazing guy.....very good musician...he really managed to bring God's word across to the congregation....you can find out more about him at www.carlbutler.org....check him out....Did get to chat abit with him....and i've learnt a lesson...never allow him and Pastor Caleb to set into the same Kayak....they started the water fight....that got me all soaked.... How about after that?? Andrew , Leonard and myself played uno stacko....( it's not about bragging....but i really haven't lost much in this game....but i'm human..and it happens..u'll see in the video)....after that we moved on to Taboo...We had a real BLAST at that game...especially with Leonard playing...man....for a knowledgeable person like himself....he certainly sounded like a clown when combine him with the taboo cards... For example ....:Leonard : " there sell sand one....Petrol , Petrol.....Ahh....Osama come from there wan...." (flips card....answer was ARAB...LOL) Next one....Andrew asks : What's green , blue , red...Leonard answers: Traffic Light!!......for a non "P" driver to get that wrong...it's close to sinning....i'm serious... Well...a camp won't be complete without Sirn Loong's non-sense rite?? This is his own statement...." When you go camping with Sirn Loong , You and the forest become one..." i Dunno what is that supposed to mean....but it either sounds really funny ..or really wrong.... For those poor campers who got brutally awaken from your sleep because of our singing "quartet" ....blame our 2 percussionist...."Mervin and Loong". It all started when Sirn Loong started waking people up....with his Negaraku..probably something he picked up at RMC...well..he recuited a few more members....and from just the dorms we started to expand our teritory...and we ended waking up everybody...."NEGARAKU"....unforgettable.. The showers there...was nice...the water was icy cold....but apart from toliet no door.....extremely and highly dangerous....those icy cold water make you want to stay in there forever and don't come out....just ask Jireh. I'm sure he'll tell you.... There were also some weird happenings....but those are undisclosed events....and will remain a secret....
